WOYWW ~ What's on your workdesk 1

This is my first posting to WOYWW....as you can see there isn't a lot on my workdesk at the moment, but I hope to rectify that soon.
I've finally after 12 years found my art gene again. It got lost along the way with multipule house moves and just life in general. But that was yesterday....
I went along to a line drawing workshop last Sunday and that finally got the creative juices flowing once more. I then thought to make sure I keep crafty it would be a good idea to join WOYWW.

I have this brilliant studio which is just crying out to be loved....I hope that this space will soon be a swamp of creative art work ; D

    1. Your very kind Chele...I can understand your dilemma because I've had the same thing over the years. I just couldn't get to the craftiness. But now I think it's time and I feel I've come home.

You are such a talented skilled baker and I think that is a fine art so your already crafting.
Have fun and thanks for stopping by ;D

Hmm...following me on the blog and Pinterest...I better get busy ;)
The studio is a great room and yes needs to be loved. I plan to give it lots of attention whilst I'm here. I may never have this kind of space again...so there's no excuse.

Thank you so much for popping by and saying 'hello'. I really love to hear from everyone out there.

    1. I feel very fortunate to have a whole room which is so airy, light and spacious to play in. When we moved into this house in July I couldn't believe that it had a studio. I kept putting myself off spending time in there...fool that I am! The guilt used to sit heavy but not anymore. It's time to use the space....whoopdeedoo!
In fact after I've answered all the lovely comment of encouragement, praise and welcome messages, I'm off to indulge.
      Bring it on I say!!!
I hope you're having a crafty week Catie Cuddles and thanks for stipping by...I really appreciate it. :D

    1. Hi Julie, thanks for popping in ~ it's so nice to have you visit.
I know I'm very lucky having this space and that's one of the reason's I gave a firm talking to myself!
People would give up so much to have this space and I wasn't even using it.
It wasn't for the want of trying, but I just didn't have my head in the right place until I went to the workshop.
What you see in the photo is only one corner. I know how lucky am I? I'll let you see snippets as I post to WYOWW ;)
I'm away now to produce another drawing I think, or it could be scrapbook work, or silk painting...ahh...sheer bliss.
I also need to visit everyone else over at WYOWW.
Have a great week and hopefully we'll chat again soon :D

  11. Hello Nessie! I LOVE your drawings...how lovely! That's wonderful that you are getting your 'creative juices' flowing again...I can't wait to see what you come up with :) I need to get mine flowing again too...it's been a while since I've done anything creative other than working in the gardens and goodness knows it's hard to get creative when it's 110C out side. I've started drawing a Beatrix Potter picture for my newest Grandson...now I need to finish it. I'll have to keep tabs on this WOYWW thing now that I know what it is ;) Have a wonderful day!

    1. Hi Maura, so happy you visited and left such lovely comments.
I think you're creative juices are constantly flowing by the look of your farm...the renovations, decorating, planting, blog etc etc. Not to mention all your Christmas decorations!

I'd love to see your Beatrix Potter picture when it's finished. Maybe you should join WYOWW too.
I decided to join WYOWW so that it would make me continue with the arty stuff. At least every Wednesday I will have to open up my studio to what I've doing and I'm determined after trying to get back to silk painting and struggling, this might just be what I need.
I'm amazed by how much talent there is out there and so many diverse crafts.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks once again :D

Just a tip and hope you don't mind my saying....it's best if you leave replies on the other person's blog as most people don't return to that post for a reply.

The only trouble is the time aspect...I'm really struggling trying to fit everything in ;D

    1. I know I really am lucky Terrie and that's why I thought it was sacrilegious not to use the space, especially when I've been craving to get back to painting. I wouldn't have believed that it's been 12 years since I last picked up a paintbrush...if the picture didn't state the date!
Thanks for being so encouraging and supportive ~ I really appreciate it.
WOYWW does sound like it’s going to be great fun and it'll certainly keep me focused :D

  18. Hi Neesie,
Thanks for visiting me and welcome to WOYWW! Beware, it can be very addictive, hehe! Your workspace looks great and as soon as I saw how bright the room looked, with natural light, I immediately thought "Australian" and sure enough, here you are joining the growing number of us doing WOYWW! Fabulous! To follow (or join in ... there is no deadline, or rules either) the altered book project, follow the link to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog for all the details. Hey, you are the first person to mention my virtual bookshelf and it has been there for ages! Happy WOYWW! RosA#16

    1. Hi RosA,
I now know what everyone was saying about WOYWW being addictive...I can't get to do any drawing because I'm trying to sneek a peek at everyone's work!
As you say the light is incredible here ~ which makes all the difference and inspire.
I'll take a look at the altered book project, if I can work some extra free time...it's not looking good at the moment :$ but thanks for giving me the info.
I'm really into books so your virtual bookshelf just jumped out at me. So many books...so little time!

  21. Hi Neesie - hope you enjoy your time on WOYWW and post week after week like all the other crazy crafters like me.
I see you live in Melbourne, my family first went there when they emigrated but now live in and around Sidney areas.
Nice to see you have found Mr , great artwork on your desk which will soon become as untidy/busy as everyone elses.
Have a lovely day/week - see you next Wednesday.
    Hugs, Neet xx
ps it's a good idea to see what number you come up as on a Wednesday (Mr Linky) and then put it behind your name when you comment - makes it so easy to send a comment back to you.

Thanks for your help with the numbering system. I thought that's what you do, but I made a complete booboo with my first posting to WOYWW and had two numbers (quick far apart) so didn't include them...what a numpty? But I'm okay now I think...well we'll see on Wednesday!

Line drawing!! is that like Zentangles, I cant really get the hang of zentangles. What is that strange looking thing up leaning against the wall on the counter top? So glad you found your mojo, I lost mine for 2 years and only found it last Sep.

I hadn't heard about Zentangles until I googled it. I just thought it was line drawings...see I know nothing!
The strange thing on the counter top is a frame that I use for silk painting. It's sadly neglected right now.
